Whitecaps See Pink! Sunday Is Third Annual Sprint Breast Cancer ... - OurSports Central (press release)

COMSTOCK PARK, myocardial infarction - The Whitecaps are getting ready to demo off their softer side. In award of Mother's Day, the squad will wear pinkish T-shirts as portion of the 3rd yearly Dash Breast Cancer Awareness Day on Sunday, May 11. Fans will be treated to free pinkish Dash t-shirts for the first 1,500 people through the Gates and will be able to assist raise finances by just purchasing a Whitecaps ticket. Fans also have got the chance to assist local women through WLHT's Movers for Moms.

"The pinkish T-shirts and the whole twenty-four hours are a show of support, but we're also using them to raise consciousness about breast malignant neoplastic disease and raise money for research," said Whitecaps selling director Paddy Graham. "This year, we partnered with WLHT to raise further finances for breast malignant neoplastic disease research and also impact local women needing a helping hand."

Ten of the T-shirts that the squad have on on the field will be available for fans to buy through a soundless auction bridge during the game. In addition, fans buying individual tickets will be helping rise money for breast malignant neoplastic disease research. For every ticket purchased, the Whitecaps will donate 50 cents to the Thousand Rapids Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
